Our
Mission
Mackie Ministries (501(c)(3) non-profit organization) is a religious organization formed particularly to provide food, drink, supplies, bag lunches, hot and cold meals, and hospitality within a welcoming, prayerful Christian environment, to persons in
need who are living in or visiting the Winter Haven and Polk County geographic area. The
Corporation’s mission is to offer a Catholic presence and witness by organizing lay faithful from
the Catholic parishes and other supportive individuals and to work with other compatible charitable
organizations.
Vision
We envision serving others in a manner that recognizes, as revealed in the
Gospel according to St. Matthew, Matthew 25:35-40, that what we do to the least among us, we
do to Christ.
Ministry
We consider our works of providing food, drink, supplies, bag lunches, hot and cold meals, and hospitality to be works of charity, and as such, a participation in
the kingship of Christ, which demands we serve as a minister of Christ, in a manner that is life giving and respectful of human dignity, in a manner that sustains solidarity with others in the
community, and in a manner that builds up the Church.
